Mom's Hamburger Tarts



  • 1 pound lean hamburger
  • 2 eggs
  • salt & pepper
  • 1/2 cup cracker crumbs
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 cup grated old cheese
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 2 loaves bread (100% or 60% whole wheat)

DIRECTIONS

  • Cut all sides off bread, butter one side of all pieces. Fit buttered side of slice bread into muffin tin. This is the crust.
  • Fry together the hamburger, onion and salt & pepper. After cooked, drain excess fat.
  • Mix in rest of ingredients; eggs, cracker crumbs, ketchup, cheese & mushroom soup.
  • Spoons mixture into muffin cups.
  • Bake at 350F for 35-40 minutes.
